VOLUNTEER WORK PARTIES

Upcoming Work Party Dates in 2019: Sundays January 13th, February 10th, March 17th

During the winter months we organise occasional volunteer work parties during which we aim to carry out work which complements the larger-scale clearance by contractors, sometimes in places which are difficult to access with machinery.
We usually aim to reinforce our efforts with those of the Hastings Conservation Volunteers, who have helped the Trust for many years.

Tasks mostly involve cutting back reed, bramble and blackthorn in order to permit new growth or to expose some of the WWII military structures.

The work parties usually take on a Sunday morning from 10am. Volunteers bring what tools they can and stay as long as they wish. They join these activities at their own risk.
